TORONTO ATOMIC GAIN DECISIVE WIN FRIDAY….Late goals beat Scarborough

Atomic_Selects_CCC_logoToronto Atomic defeated Scarborough SC 4-1 in the only game played in the Canadian Soccer League Friday night.

Forward Oleksandr Semeniuk opened the scoring for Toronto Atomic at Downsview Park in north Toronto, scoring his eighth goal of the campaign to beat Scarborough goalkeeper Mladen Kukrika at the 35 minute mark.

Toronto Atomic midfielder Mykhailo Basarab increased the lead to 2-0 for the visitors, the goal coming at 43 minutes and it was 2-0 at the interval.

Midfielder Dobrin Orlovski struck for Scarborough to reduce the lead to 2-1 at 67 minutes, but Toronto Atomic took control late in the second half to score two goals, the first at 88 minutes by Basarab – his second of the game to make it 3-1 – and a goal two minutes later by Eugen Ishchak to give Toronto Atomic the victory by a score of 4-1.

Atomic improve with a 6-6-2 WLT for 20 points in the season, while Scarborough SC are at 3-4-6 for 15 points.
