LATE GOALS GIVE SCARBOROUGH VICTORY……York Region down Hamilton City

Scarborough SC struck twice late in the game to defeat FC Ukraine United 2-0, while York Region Shooters scored a come from behind 3-1 victory over  Hamilton City, two games in the CSL First Division Sunday.

Midfielder Dobrin Orlovski opened the scoring for Scarborough from a cross from the left wing to Orlovski on the far post, the goal coming at the 82 minute mark, and Kiril Dimitrov assured the visitors of the victory, collecting the ball from a breakaway to beat oncoming Ukraine United goalkeeper Nazar Lytvyn, a 2-0 score at 87 minutes and at the final whistle.
It was the second victory for Scarborough in as many games following a 3-0 win over Serbian White Eagles on May 28.

Zdenko Jurcevic opened the scoring for Hamilton City in the second game of a double-header at St. Joan of Arc game at Maple, finding the net past York Region goalkeeper Emanuelle Ameltonis at 23 minutes.

Shooters’ Marcos Rodriguez tied the game from the penalty spot following a foul in the Hamilton penalty area at 37 minutes and it was 1-1 at the break.

Striker Richard West put York Region into the lead with a well taken header into the net past Hamilton ‘keeper Adrian Becic at 74 minutes and Alexsander Stojanovski increased the Shooters’ lead to 3-1 three minutes later.
