Playoffs for the Canadian Soccer League Championship will kickoff this coming Friday, September 15 when the current champions, Serbian White Eagles, host SC Waterloo at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke. The quarterfinal games are expected to be completed by Sunday evening when the four surviving teams will advance to the semifinals to be played the weekend of September 22.
Serbian White Eagles are bidding for their third Canadian Soccer League championship, having won the title in 2008 and the 2016 championship with a 2-1 extra time victory over Hamilton City.
The CSL Second Division championship will kickoff with a quarterfinal game on Saturday when Brantford Galaxy Reserves host the Serbian White Eagles second squad at Binbrook in Hamilton. Second Division winners Ukraine United Reserves gain a bye in the quarterfinals to join the three surviving teams in the Second Division for semifinal games to be played also during the weekend of September 22.
All games will play a 15-minute each way extra time period if tied at the end of regular time.
