FC Ukraine United forward Sergii Ivliev led his team with two goals for a 3-2 victory over Hamilton City, the only game in the CSL First Division on Sunday played in windy conditions at the St. Joan of Arc ground, just north of Toronto.

Former Waterloo prolific striker Drazen Vukovic opened the scoring for Hamilton City  at the 10 minute mark, a drive from outside the box that entered the net out of reach of Ukraine United goalkeeper Nazar Lytvyn.

Ukraine United midfielder Kostiantyn Derevlov scored at 44 minutes to tie the game 1-1, the score at the interval.

Ivliev put the home side 2-1 up at 60 minutes and beat Hamilton goalkeeper Adrian Becic again at 75 minutes for a 3-1 Ukraine United lead.

Vukovic struck again for Hamilton with a free kick, a low drive that beat Lytvyn at 89 minutes and the 3-2 Ukraine lead held up to the final whistle.

It was Ukraine United’s first win in its inaugural season in the CSL following a 2-0 loss to Scarborough on June 5.

There was one game in the CSL Second Division Sunday, a scoreless tie between SC Waterloo and York Region Shooters B played at Woodside Park.
