WAIGANJO HAT-TRICK LEADS KINGSTON…….London City blank St. Catharines 2-0

Midfielder Paul Kihara Waiganjo led Kingston FC with a hat-trick  to a 4-2 away victory over Niagara United, while London City continued to climb the CSL First Division with a 2-0 home win against St. Catharines Wolves, two games in the CSL Saturday.
Waiganjo opened the scoring for Kingston at the 22nd minute mark at Kalar Park in Niagara Falls, he found the net off a rebound following a save by Niagara goalkeeper Brad Gemmell and the Kenya-born Waiganjo struck again just six minutes later to give the visitors a 2-0 lead, the score at half-time.
Striker Guillaume Surot increased the lead to 3-0 for Kingston at 56 minutes, again after Gemmell made saves from two attempts on the home goal – it was Surot’s 17th goal of the season.
Niagara’s Andy Tiedt reduced the lead to 3-1 with a goal at the 58th minute mark and following good attacking play at both ends, Waiganjo completed his hat-trick at 73 minutes for a 4-1 Kingston lead following a breakaway by the visiting team.
Tiedt scored his second goal just before the final whistle for a 4-2 victory, the 11th of the season for a league-leading Kingston with 34 points.
Marin Vucemilovic Grgic found the net past St. Catharines goalkeeper Matthew Greco at 66 minutes to open the scoring for London City at the Hellenic Centre in London, a 1-0 lead over St. Catharines Wolves following a well-played, scoreless first half.
Forward Younan Samra made it 2-0 at 77 minutes, a score that held to the final whistle.
