KAVIN BRYAN SCORES TWO IN SCARBOROUGH 4-0 VICTORY FRIDAY

 

 

 

Scarborough SC moved into second position in the CSL First Division standings with a 4-0 victory over CSC Mississauga in the only game played in the Canadian Soccer League Friday.

Aleksander Stojiljkovic opened the scoring for the visitors at the at Iceland Field, Mississauga, his seventh of the season for a 1-0 lead at the 5 minute mark and this was followed by two goals by forward Kavin Bryan at 24 minutes and 43 minutes for a 3-0 Scarborough lead at the break.

Kiril Dimitrov completed the scoring, finding the net past Mississauga goalkeeper Faris Efendic at the 70 minute for a 4-0 score in favor of Scarborough.

Scarborough was reduced to eight men following the ejection of Kiril Dimitrov, Stefan Rudan and John Trye for various offences including a foul and dissent at the 80 minute mark.

Scarborough SC improve to a 4-2-1WLT record for 13 points and second in the standings, while CSL Mississauga have a 0-4-2 record for two points and eighth in the table.

There are two remaining CSL First Division games over the Canada Day weekend when FC Ukraine United travels for an encounter with SC Waterloo at RIM Park, Waterloo on Saturday, that’s a 6.30 pm evening kickoff, and at 7 pm the same evening, league-leading FC Vorkuta is at home to Serbian White Eagles at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York.
