Milton SC were lifted into a tie for third position in the standings with a 4-2 victory over Burlington SC in the only game played in the CSL First Division Friday night. Milton went ahead at the 39 minute with a goal by Arnes Besic who appeared to beat the Burlington offside trap to find the net from close range and it was 1-0 for the home side at the break. Midfielder Radovan Ivkovic struck his fifth goal of the season, a drive into the bottom corner of the net past Burlington goalkeeper Vladimir Vujasinovic to increase the Milton lead to 2-0 at the 46th minute mark. Burlington reduced the lead to 2-1 at 46 minutes when Vladimir Vujovic found the net past Milton goalkeeper Zoran Pusica. It was Vujovic’s 8 goal of the campaign. Milton went ahead 3-1 at 77 minutes, a goal by Dusan Popovic and Zoran Zec made it 4-1 for the home side two minutes later. Burlington scored at 88 minutes, a goal by midfielder Erwin Uzunovic, his third of the season for a 4-2 final score. Milton improve to 5-3-1 WLT for 16 points for a tie for third place with Toronto Croatia and SC Waterloo in the First Division standings.
