FIRST DIVISION TITLE STILL UP IN THE AIR

The holiday weekend games in the First Division provide a unique opportunity for the four teams immediately below league-leading FC Vorkuta to win their games. Scarborough, Serbian White Eagles, Waterloo and FC Ukraine United are not connected this weekend – all are playing against opposition in the bottom half of the standings.

Points will be won this weekend for qualification in the playoffs. FC Vorkuta and Scarborough have already qualified and Serbian White Eagles need just one point.

Scarborough has not given up on the First Division title. Just seven points behind Vorkuta and with a game in hand, Scarborough has a realistic vision to chase. To a much lesser extent, Serbian White Eagles with 12 points to catch up but with two games in hand. Others are no doubt more focused on the playoffs and winning the CSL Championship. Several teams are capable.
