Kingston FC scored late to salvage a 2-2 tie with London City in the only game played in the Canadian Soccer League Friday night.
Kingston striker Guillaume Surot opened the scoring with a goal at 32 minutes, finding the net past London goalkeeper Vladimir Markotic,.
London tied the game just six minutes later when Marin Vucemilovic Grgic struck at the 39 minute mark and Grgic scored a second from the penalty spot following a foul in the box against London midfielder Nenad Begovic. It was 2-1 at half-time.
The goals were the 13 and 14 goal of the season for Grgic who leads the First division scoring.
It was a fought hard second half and several attempts to come back on even terms eventually paid off for the visitors when Surot scored his second of the game for Kingston at the 85 minute mark.
The 2-2 tie held to the final whistle and the goals were numbers 10 and 11 for Surot who is currently second in the goal scoring table behind Grgic.
The tie improves Kingston to a 4-4-3WLT record for 15 points, tied for fourth position with North York Astros, while London City are at 3-7-2 for 11 points in ninth position in the standings.
