SCARBOROUGH IN THIRD POSITION FOLLOWING 3-0 VICTORY

Scarborough SC defeated Brantford Galaxy 3-0 and FC Ukraine United played to a 1-1 draw with Serbian White Eagles, two games in the Canadian Soccer League First Division Sunday night.

Forward Kavin Bryan opened the scoring for Scarborough at the 15th minute mark in the game at Birchmount Stadium, taking a pass from Alexander Stojiljkovic to find the net with a drive from 17 yards. It was 1-0 at halftime.

Stojiljkovic then scored two second half goals, increasing the Scarborough lead to 2-0 at 55 minutes, and the same player increased the lead to 3-0 at the 75 minute mark, a left foot drive that found the corner of the net.
It was 3-0 for the home side at the final whistle.

Scarborough now has an improved 2-2-1WLT record for 7 points and third in the standings, while Brantford Galaxy has a 1-2-1 record for 4 points in fifth position.

Luka Bojic gave Serbian White Eagles a first half lead before midfielder Ihor Malysh struck the equalizer for FC Ukraine United at the 37th minute mark. The score was 1-1 at halftime and held to the final whistle at Centennial Stadium in Toronto’s west end.
FC Ukraine United are in second position in the standings with a 3-1-1 record for 10 points and Serbian White Eagles have a 1-0-3 record with 6 points and hold fourth position in the table.
