FC Vorkuta and Scarborough SC both enter early season weekend games at home in the Canadian Soccer League and both are determined to maintain a 100 per cent record following impressive victories since the mid-May regular season kickoff. Only FC Ukraine United is in the same position, not having conceded a point, but the 2018 First Division champions are idle until a home match with Scarborough on June 23.
The weekend games start at Centennial Stadium on Friday night when Serbian White Eagles host SC Waterloo. Serbian Eagles are coming off a 3-2 loss to Hamilton City on June 8 following two decisive victories, while SC Waterloo won its last game 3-1 over new club Kingsman, a win that placed the Southwestern Ontario team third in the standings.
There are two matches Sunday with Kingsman at home to CSC Mississauga at Esther Shiner Stadium and Scarborough pursue its title ambitions at home to Brantford Galaxy.
