FIVE CLUBS BID FOR TOP SPOT IN CSL FIRST DIVISION …separated by just two points

Toronto Croatia will probably need a win over SC Toronto to hold the top position in the First Division standings following this weekend’s games in the Canadian Soccer League.

Only two points separate five teams – Croatia, TFC Academy, SC Toronto, Brantford Galaxy and York Region Shooters – so the current CSL champions are in a precarious position, but can still retain top spot with a victory over the impressive SC Toronto side in what is an important game for both teams at Centennial Stadium Sunday night.

York Region Shooters have an impressive 5-game unbeaten streak going back to June 10 and they will be looking to stretch that even more at Kalar Park against Niagara United on Saturday.

There are 10 First Division games to be played through Sunday night and five games in the CSL Second Division.
