A victory by London City over St. Catharines Wolves at Club Roma in St. Catharines, the only game in the CSL Wednesday, was enough to move the southwestern Ontario team into the upper half of the CSL First Division.
London midfielder Gent Miftari opened the scoring for the visitors at the 14th minute with a drive from the right of the Catharines goal inside the left post for a 1-0 lead at the interval.
The prolific Marin Vucemilovic Grgic scored a second goal for London City at 64 minutes, his sixth of the season, a strike from the left of the goal inside the box, entering the right corner of the net.
St. Catharines scored at 84 minutes with a goal by forward Christian Carvajal who collected a pass from Brett Larocque to reduce the lead, but while both sides had scoring opportunities the game ended 2-1 in favour of London City.
London improved to a 3-5-3 WLT record for 12 points and elevated to 6th in the standings, while St. Catharines have a 2-5-0 for 6 points record, currently 11th in the table.

Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke has been closed for a period of time up to four weeks following serious flooding of the playing surface on Monday.
