TFC Academy extended their unbeaten string now four wins and a tie since June 3 with a 2-0 defeat of Niagara United and Mississauga Eagles travelled to Kingston to defeat the home side 2-0, two games in the CSL Saturday.
Midfielder Sergio Camargo scored both goals for the Toronto senior academy side, the first after 10 minutes with a direct free kick from 20 yards that beat Niagara goalkeeper Jonathan Bruggeling and the second goal at 38 minutes for a 2-0 lead at the break.
It was an even contest in the second half without a goal being scored and the final whistle came with a 2-0 result in favour of TFC Academy.
The win gave Toronto a 6-2-1 WLT record for 19 points and second place in the standings, while Niagara United are at 4-3-0 for 12 points.
Two late goals by Mississauga Eagles FC midfielder Darragh Roe snatched a victory for the visitors against Kingston FC at the CaraCo ground in Kingston. Roe struck at 81 minutes off a corner kick and again four minutes later when he found the net with a low shot past Kingston goalkeeper Morgan Kenny.
Mississauga Eagles improve to 3-4-1 for 10 points, while Kingston suffered their eighth defeat for a 2-8-1 record for 7 points.
