TIGHT RACE AT TOP OF CSL FIRST DIVISION RESUMES THIS BUSY WEEKEND

With four teams separated by just two points, the tight race to lead the CSL First Division resumes this coming weekend with no less than 11 games scheduled from Friday through Sunday night.

 

The last game of the weekend will see Toronto Croatia attempting to recover from their surprise defeat in the hands of SC Waterloo last weekend, a 1-0 decision that ended the two-month long unbeaten streak of the current CSL champions going back to their opener on May 13.

 

Three of the top four teams will play this weekend (Montreal Impact Academy are idle until their next home encounter on July 21) and while Toronto Croatia and Brantford Galaxy each play once. TFC Academy has the best opportunity to make the top with two games on tap, at home to York Region Shooters on Saturday and a visit to Brampton City Utd on Sunday.

 

There are five games scheduled in the CSL Second Division this weekend, with a switch of venue from the SC Waterloo reserve team home ground in Waterloo to Budd Park in Kitchener for the Waterloo B game with Brampton City Utd  B.
