Serbian White Eagles took a 1-0 lead on a goal at 34 minutes by Dusan Kovacevic at Rim Park in Waterloo on Friday night, but Waterloo tied the game just three minutes later when referee Tony Amaral ordered a penalty kick following a hand ball by a Serbian Eagles’ defender. Jure Glavina scored from the spot for the home side, it was 1-1 at the interval and 1-1 at the final whistle.
Kiril Dimitrov of Scarborough drove a low shot from 20 yards just inside the post to beat York Region goalkeeper Adrian Ibanez at the 67th minute mark, a 1-0 away victory at the St. Joan of Arc Stadium in Maple, also on Friday night.
