MATIAS HAT-TRICK LIFTS SCARBOROUGH TO VICTORY

A Gonzalo Matias hat-trick led Scarborough SC to a 5-1 victory over Real Mississauga, FC Vorkuta scored seven for a 7=2 victory over CSC Mississauga, Aleksandar Bozovic struck twice in a SC Waterloo 3-1 defeat of  Kingsman, Hamilton City scored a narrow 3-2 win over Serbian White Eagles and in the late game in the Canadian Soccer League on Saturday night, FC Ukraine United nipped Brantford Galaxy 2-1.

It was Scarborough’s third win in as many games with Kiril Dimitrov and Aleksander Stojiljkovic adding to to the Gonzalo Matias hat-trick in the game with Real Mississauga at Huron Park, while Lyubomir Nyagolov found the net past Scarborough goalkeeper John Trye from the penalty spot in the first half to register the only goal for the home side in the 5-1 score.

FC Vorkuta also won its third game of the early season for an easy victory at the Ontario Soccer Centre beginning at 3 minutes when Pavlo Chornomaz back-healed a cross from Vadym Gostiev into the corner of the net and this was followed at 26 minutes when Iaroslav Solonynko struck his fourth goal of the season for a 2-0 score. Mykola Temniuk headed into an empty CSC Mississauga net to make it 3-0 for the current CSL champions after collecting a rebound off the crossbar from a drive by  Volodymyr Bidlovskyy. It was Bidlovskyy who struck goal number 4 when at the 37th minute mark his free kick went over the wall to find the net.

CSC Mississauga reduced the Vorkuta lead to 4-1 at 47 minutes, a goal by Morgan Copeland and three minutes later Vorkuta made it 5-1 when Dmytro Polyuhanych scored from a right wing cross by Bohdan Borovskyi. CSC Mississauga reduced the lead to 6-2 at 66 minutes and Olexandr Yaremchuk completed the scoring for the home side at the 88th minute mark and it was 7-2 at the final whistle.

Hamilton City midfielder Lucas Raposo scored twice and Stefan Mitrovic got the late winner in Hamilton’s 3-2 victory over Serbian White Eagles at Heritage Field. Milan Kusic scored twice for Serbian White Eagles.

SC Waterloo forward Aleksandar Bozovic opened the scoring at the 8th minute mark in the home victory over Kingsman at RIM Park. Bozovic then scored again for a 2-0 Waterloo lead at 63 minutes.

Substitute forward Sayid Belmokhtar scored for Kingsman to reduce the lead to 2-1 at 73 minutes, but Miodrag Kovacevic assured the home side of victory with the goal at 85 minutes, a 3-1 final score in favour of Waterloo.

Forward Sviatoslav Dziadykevych put FC Ukraine United into a 1-0 lead at the 29th minute in the game with Brantford Galaxy at Heritage Field and Taras Kryvyy beat Galaxy goalkeeper Georgi Jovicic to make  it 2-0 at the 33rd minute, the score at halftime.

Brantford  Zeljko Dokic reduced the lead to 2-1 at 53 minutes and Ukraine United held on to  for a 2-1 victory at the final whistle.
