TORONTO CROATIA TIED FOR TOP SPOT….. 4-0 victory at Brampton Saturday

Toronto Croatia moved into a tie for top position in the CSL standings with an emphatic 4-0 away victory over Brampton City Utd at Victoria Park in Brampton, the only game played in the CSL First Division Saturday.

Forward Kresimir Prgomet opened the scoring for the current CSL champions with a goal at 22 minutes and defender Ainsley Deer made it 2-0 six minutes later.

Jarek Whiteman struck the third goal, finding the net past Brampton goalkeeper Camelo Benzi at the 42nd minute mark, a 3-0 score at the break.

Toronto Croatia continued to have the majority of the possession and Josip Keran increased the lead to 4-0 when he found the net in the second half off a corner kick taken by Augustin De Medina – the a 4-0 score at the final whistle.

Toronto Croatia share top position with Kingston FC as a result of the 4-0 victory, the Toronto side has a 12-2-4 WLT record for 40 points with four games remaining in the regular season schedule, while Brampton has a 12-6-0 record having suffered its third loss in succession following a highly successful mid-season campaign that put the team from north-west of Toronto in contention for the CSL First Division title.
